BitLocker Recovery

Because BitLocker uses custom passwords for encrypting external storage devices (thumb drives or USB hard drives), you might need to recover a forgotten password some day. Troubleshooting a Network Connection

YouTube Videos Showing as Unavailable

ISSUE: Older videos that were working on YouTube are now showing as unavailable if embedded, or private when you follow the link.

Adobe Product Login

During the summer 2019, the campus lab image will give students access to the new Adobe products. Students will need to log in to the products to use them.

Once you click on an Adobe CC Product, the application will launch and they’ll be prompted to login. They will need to sign in with their EKU student email password.

Once you enter your email in (first_last1@mymail.eku.edu), you'll be taken to the Azure login page.

The Microsoft Authenticator app helps you sign-in to your accounts if you use two-factor authentication (2FA).  Two-factor verification helps you access your accounts more securely.   No more getting a phone call, or receiving a text code to sign-in!  Another great thing, you don't need an internet connection to use (after the initial setup). Using Respondus LockDown Browser - For Instructors

Respondus LockDown Browser (LDB) is a tool that you can enable in your Blackboard course to perform a somewhat automated form of test proctoring.  LDB is a web browser that will prevent students from opening other programs or going to other websites besides EKU's Blackboard.  NOTE: Respondus Monitor is an option within LDB that automatically records the students' monitor display and their webcam.   

No longer receiving emails in your EKU myMail account (Issue)

Issue: You stop receiving emails in your myMail account.

Cause: Your account may be compromised.

Less Phishing & Spam with Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)

EKU IT is pleased to announce that we will be enabling Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) on our Microsoft systems soon.  In addition to other protections already in place, ATP helps protect the EKU community from malicious attacks by providing better spam and malware protection for email, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
