New Blackboard Content Editor
Blackboard has rolled out a new Content Editor for their system that will dramatically update the way you write content on the system. Please view the linked on this page for an explanation by one of the Blackboard designers.
This new tool is more mobile friendly and will resize according to the display you are viewing it on. It has some significant improvements over the old system. Now video links from most video hosting sites (youTube, Vimeo, etc) will automatically convert to an embedded form of the video. Copying and pasting from Microsoft Word has substantially improved, and you now will have the option when pasting to strip out extra background formatting that sometimes would cause issues.
You can click the plus icon to upload files and other content and insert it into your post. There is also now a built-in accessibility checker to help you make the content you create meet accessibility standards. You still have access to basic html editing and there is also a new tool that allows you to paste in computer code.
