ISSUE: Instructor can't see controls in Blackboard (Edit Mode is OFF)

RESOLUTION:

If an instructor can see the Grade Center and other options below the course menu but lacks the usual controls for the course menu and for adding content to the site, it's probably due to Edit Mode being switched OFF. The Edit Mode switch is displayed at the upper right of the Bb page. Normal controls are restored by clicking the switch so it is ON. There is a known Bb issue where some instructors get Edit Mode switched OFF automatically when entering many or all courses. We hope to get this problem resolved soon. The simple solution is to notice the status of Edit Mode, and make sure it is ON for all work inside your site.
