Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups (Error)

Issue: When trying to send an email to a non-EKU email account, the following error occurs:

              "Deliver has failed to these recipients or groups:"

Cause: Your account is blocked by Microsoft because it has been compromised and is sending spam.

Delivery has failed


  1. Reset your password immediately.  If a current EKU student, you can do this in EKU Direct.  If not a current student, call the IT Service Desk: 859.622.3000
  2. Disable forwarding in your account.
  3. Call the IT Service Desk so they can remove the block from Microsoft: 859.622.3000.
