Change Course Name in Blackboard

Renaming a Current Course

Follow these steps to change the course name that is displayed on My Courses for you and your students:

• Look for the Control Panel links, below the Course Management list.
• Click Customization.
• Click Properties.
• Type your new Course Name. Please avoid using ampersands, quotation marks and number signs.
• Click Submit.

Your new Course Name will be displayed on My Courses.

Renaming an Old Course

If you want to rename an old course so it is not confused with an active course, you can follow the same steps as above after entering the inactive course in Blackboard.  NOTE: You can not change the course ID.
