Spring Break

As you begin packing up to head out for Spring Break, take a minute to think about your technology needs.

Do you need to take all your tech gadgets with you?
If you leave a gadget at home, in a safe place, you may protect it from a Spring Break catastrophe.

Technology Ideas for a Safe Spring Break 

• Be careful of phishing and spam while away on spring break.  Remember to forward all suspicious email to: spam@eku.edu Don't fall for emails with a sense of urgency request you take immediate action.
• Don't use public wireless for anything regarding accounts and passwords.  Just consider that someone is possibly eavesdropping on your conversations. 
• Turn off automatic connection to wireless hotspots and bluetooth.
• Keep your phone charged at all times in the event you have to make an emergency call or text.
• Download apps like Uber or Lyft and important numbers like a hotel shuttle.
• Be responsible and stay in groups of friends and take care of one another out there!
