Welcome to our new IT newsletter – Tech Times. Our goal in creating this is to provide you with useful information about our services. IT services include campus network connectivity, administration of EKU software, device management, classroom technology, student technology equipment checkout, EKU telephony, cybersecurity protections, and helpdesk support for all IT services. We understand technology can sometimes be confusing and we want you to know we are here to help.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to creating resources and communications for organizations to talk to their employees and customers about staying safe online. IT will participate in this campaign and focus on cybersecurity issues that affect all students, faculty, and staff. These 4 behaviors will be our focus:

• Enabling multi-factor authentication

• Using strong passwords and a password manager

• Updating software

• Recognizing and reporting phishing
