Cybersecurity Awareness Month

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a national effort to help everyone stay protected whenever and however you connect. The overarching theme for the month is, ‘Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT.’ and Eastern Kentucky University is proud to be a champion and support this online safety and education initiative this October.

The cybersecurity and digital privacy of our employees and customers is important to Eastern.  Throughout the month of October Eastern will post daily on our Twitter and Facebook accounts tips and tricks to keep yourself, EKU, and your families safe and secure.

We want to help you, your family, friends and our community stay protected all year long too. We encourage you to sign up as a NCSAM Champion. After signing up, you’ll receive a toolkit of free resources, including simple online safety habits and things you can do to #BeCyberSmart.

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is co-led by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
