Game Console Connection Guide

DEVICES WILL WORK IN ONE OF THESE WAYS:

1. If it has Wi-Fi and supports WPA2 Enterprise, login to EKU_Secure and the device should work.

2. If it doesn't support WPA2 Enterprise or you just want a faster more reliable connection--plug the device into the Ethernet in your room.  This may require purchasing a network dongle.

3. If neither option is viable, as in with portable game devices, they will not connect to the campus network.

 

Supported: Xbox/360, PS2, PS3, Wii on Ethernet (no handheld gaming devices or connection to wireless is available)

Software Required: NONE

Check to see if your device is compatible on campus now.

 

Ouya MAC Address

Follow the Ouya gaming system instructions to connect your device to the LAN/Ethernet (not Wireless) network.

When prompted you should see the devices MAC address.  (The MAC address format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons).

Xbox MAC Address

1. Choose Xbox Live from the Xbox Dashboard
2. Select Settings from the Connect Status screen
3. The MAC address is displayed in the bottom right corner of the Network Settings screen (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

Xbox 360 MAC Address (pre-NXE dashboard)

1. Select System from the Xbox Dashboard
2. Select Network Settings
3. Select Edit Settings
4. Select Additional Settings
5. Select Advanced Settings
6. Look for the heading titled Wired MAC Address  (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

Xbox 360 MAC Address (new dashboard)

1. Sign-in to Xbox Live
2. Select Settings
3. Select System
4. Select Network Settings
5. Select Wired Network
6. Select Configure Network
7. Select the Additional Settings tab
8. Select the Advanced Settings area
9. The MAC address is listed here  (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

Xbox One MAC Address

Select Settings
Select Network
Test Network Connection OR Test Multiplayer Connection
The MAC address is listed here  (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

PS2 MAC Address

1. Load the Network Adaptor Startup Disc
2. Once it has loaded, select ISP Setup and press X on your controller
3. The ISP Setup will begin to load, and you will be presented with a license agreement.  Select Agree and press X to continue
4. For connection type, choose Local Area Network (LAN) and press X to continue
5. Select Automatic Configuration and press X to continue
6. At the connection test screen, select Advanced and press X to continue
7. At the Advanced Broadband Settings screen, make sure Automatic is selected. While you are at this screen the MAC address is at the bottom of the screen    (format: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

PS3 MAC Address

1. Power on the PlayStation 3 without any disc in the drive
2. Select Settings
3. Select Network Settings
4. Select the option Settings and Connection Status List
5. The MAC address is on this list  (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

PS4 MAC Address

Turn on the PlayStation 4 console.
Once the PlayStation 4 operating system has loaded, select "Settings."
Once you are in "Settings" select "Network Settings."
When the "Network Settings" list appears, select the first option which is titled "Settings and Connection Status List."
The physical address will be listed under "MAC address."  (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

Wii MAC Address

1. On the main screen, select the Wii button on the lower left side
2. Select Wii Settings
3. Select the right arrow to advance to the second set of settings
4. Select Internet
5. Select Console Information
6. The wired MAC address will be listed under USB Ethernet Adapter MAC Address  (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

Wii U MAC Address

1. On your Wii U GamePad, go to the Wii U Menu and select System Setting.
2. Choose the option Internet.
3. Select View MAC Address
4. The MAC Address you want to enter is the LAN Adapter MAC Address.  (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX or XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or 12 letters and numbers without the dashes or colons)

NOTE: If you get an all 0 MAC address, try these steps to get it connected:
1. Plug the LAN adapter into a computer running Windows. Windows will then install the drivers for the adapter automatically.
2. Make sure another ethernet cable isn't plugged in and that you aren't connected to the wireless).
3. On your Wii U GamePad, go to the Wii U Menu and select System Setting.
4. Choose the option Internet.
5. Select View MAC Address
NOTE: If you are still getting all 0's, you may have a bad LAN adapter. You could send it in to the company who made it to be looked at or get a new one. We suggest only buying from Nintendo, as the off-brand ones seem to not be very reliable. For further help, you can go to Nintendo's site here.
