Blackboard Annotate

Bb Annotate is the name for the new inline grading tool in Blackboard. It replaces what we have known as Box View.

June 30, 2020, note about saving your comments: With the original version of Annotate, installed in May 2020, there is an unexpected extra step required to get your typed comments saved into the student’s paper. On the box where you type the comment, you must click the “Reply” button. [Instructions]

EKU Blackboard will get this new tool on 3 June 2020. (This was previously announced for 25 May.) The new interface replaces Box View, but everything you've done with Box View will display correctly for you and your students.

Bb Annotate works with students' file submissions through Assignment links. It automatically displays students' work, which you open either from the Needs Grading page or directly from the Grade Center. It is compatible with many file formats. Blackboard intends to expand its scope to other areas for grading, such as discussion forums and essay questions on tests.
