Outlook 2013: Migrating from 2010
This article discusses some of the major changes to the Outlook 2013 interface and usability.

- The view in Outlook 2013 (like 2010) no longer uses the toolbars and menus but the newer ribbon interface.
- The one-click unread-mail filter located at the top of the screen provides the option to view unread or all emails.
- The message preview pane is located under the View tab. When selected, 1-3 lines of the message body appears inside the inbox.
- The zoom slider is located in the bottom blue bar on the right-hand side after a message is opened. Adjust the zoom slider to make the message larger or smaller.
- The attachment reminder will prompt users to attach a file before an email message is sent without an attachment. The body of the email must include a variation of the the word attach. Users can turn off the Attachment Reminder in Outlook 2013 by selecting "Don’t show this message again" in the Attachment Reminder dialog box.
- Themes offer various backgrounds and color schemes and are located in the message pane under the Options tab.
- Weather is now displayed in the calendar. Learn more about setting up your weather display.
- Office 2013 Help is accessed by clicking the "?" in the top right corner.
