A new version of the Mac malware Flashback has recently been discovered. It has infected over a half million computers worldwide. The malware accessed a vulnerability in Java to install without the user’s knowledge. Recent updates to the Mac OS have closed this vulnerability, but it is possible that Apple computers on campus may have been affected.
Follow these steps to check for and remove the Flashback malware:
